Who knew more than a century ago that a meeting of 10 enthusiasts about a newfangled hunk of metal would end up with an organization that's now an iconic -- and soon to be honored -- part of Southern California life. The folks in Fullerton, as part of their big, annual outreach and scholarship fund-raising program called 'Front & Center' have decided this weekend to honor the Automobile Club of Southern California, which also is a big supporter of the business school and the Center for Insurance Studies . Some 6 million Californians belong to the club and those in the Golden State make up the largest affiliate of the national American Automobile Association or AAA.
